I am passionate about supporting schools to recruit strong leaders from all backgrounds, and I want to make sure that up-and-coming school leaders don’t have to face the same barriers as I did.
Global Majority Heritage is a collective term referring to people who are Black, African, Asian, dual-heritage, indigenous to the Global South and/or racialised as ‘ethnic minorities’. The Platform is part of the London Diocesan Board for School (LDBS)’s strategy to attract, develop and retain Global Majority Heritage leaders, through support, coaching and mentoring.
The year-long programme is suitable for phase leaders, AHTs/DHTs, Heads of School and Headteachers and aims to prove a platform for their future development. All seminars include presentation, discussion, interactive exercises and networking. They will be conducted in person at the LDBS in Causton Street, led by Paula Aitcheson-Walker and a range of guest speakers.
The cost of the programme is £600, but for 2023-2024 the LDBS are delighted to offer it at a heavily discounted rate of £150 for core and affiliated schools. To apply, please visit the LDBS website and fill in the online application form here >
